The Tzenkethi guards flanked the Autarch and wove through the hidden passageways of the palace to reach safety. The sounds of disruptor fire could be heard beyond the thick stone walls. There was no telling who might already be dead or captured in this insurrection.

A light broke through the passageway's dimness, marking their proximity to the exit near the palace shuttle stable. The trio emerged into the evening light. They stayed crouched down for a moment to ensure the coast was clear.

When at last they saw they were unobstructed they made their way into the shuttle stable. Quickly the guards began readying a transport shuttle.

A low buzz emitted from one of their communicators. It was an encrypted message from another member of the imperial guard, head of the Tzelnira security detail. “Your Majesty,” The guard began. “It seems the Tzelnira have been liberated by imperial guardsmen. They are coming through the tunnels. We are initiating evacuation protocols one-three-zero.”

‘One-three-zero.” Korzenten thought to himself. That particular plan would relocate the government to the southernmost continent. “No, if Lorqueten has the grasp I think he does, there will be a contingent waiting there.” He paused for a moment. “We need to go offworld.” He said finally. “There’s an abandoned station on the Federation border, we can regroup there.”

The guards looked to each other nervously.
