Zen Titties

Mission: 00 -Life on the Line
Location: Personal Quarters

It had been a big night. After the Captain's celebration in the lounge she'd gone home with the bar tender, at least for a little bit. It was fun, but he had no stamina and she still had to make sure she was awake, alert and sober enough to function in sickbay the following morning.

She had just crawled into her bed, pulling the covers up, when realisation struck her. "Damn it!" she muttered as she kicked the blankets away and sliding her feet into the first shoes she found, which just happened to be heels abandoned from the night before. Without thought for the fact that she was only wearing a light slip, Tiki stumbled her way out of her quarters and through the decks of the starbase until she was standing at the Captain's door, hitting the chime repeatedly until he answered.

Etan's head throbbed as the chime echoed throughout his cabin. At first he took the sound as an annoying ringing in his ears, until something in subconscious began to recognize that it was something permeating his sleep.

With his realization, he sat up with a wince and rubbed his head. The Captain slipped on a grey robe and made his way to the door. Groggily, he reached out to press the control and waited as the doors hissed open to reveal the interloper.

As soon as the doors opened, Tiki pushed passed Etan, eyes immediately seeking out the comfort she wanted. Curling up on the couch, she stuffed a cushion under her head and reaching blindly for the blanket that rested along the back of the couch, pulling it toward her. "It was the ten kitties," she muttered drunkenly. "They did it, the ten kitties."

Etan rubbed his spotted temples. “What does that even mean?” He was confused, irritated, and tired. “It’s too early for this.” He declared, moving to where Tequila had made herself comfortable.

Tiki screwed up her face, eyes still closed. "That's not right, is it?" she mumbled. "Zen titties? is that right? Was it the zen titties that did it?"

Kaz crouched down and grasped Tequila's shoulders. "What the hell are you talking about?" He asked. "Kitties? titties? you need to explain what's happening!" He demanded.

"Woah!!!" Tiki's eyes widened. "Talking about titties? I didn't think you were that kind of Captain!" she giggled. "But, you know, I'm always up for a good time. Shall we start with a drink? Got any of that purple stuff laying around here?"

“I was trying to sleep you know?” Etan almost growled. “How about coffee?”

"I take it hot, dark and sweet, just like me," she countered, forcing herself to sit up. "I don't know why you're so cranky," she sulked a little as she waited for her coffee. "You're the one that was carrying on about my titties."

"No that was all you." He said, returning with a small thermos of coffee and two cups. "I usually get cranky when someone pushes into my room before I'm awake, or at least had coffee."

Taking the coffee as he handed it to her, Tiki took a few sips, sighing contentedly as the strongly caffeinated beverage started to work it's magic. "So what are you going to do about the Tzenkethi?" she asked, looking across at him. "If they're going to keep attacking shuttles it's going to drive away the few supply runs we still have using the station for layovers."

“What can we do?” Etan asked shrugging. “They’ll get bored soon and focus on another part of the border.” ‘I hope.’ He added silently.

"And if they don't? I mean, I don't need to point out that we're pretty much screwed anyway, if we start losing supply ships..." She paused, taking a sip of her coffee. "I am not gonna make a very good Dabo girl, too argumentative... though... the tips could make it worth while.. how much do you think I could make a night? Hmmmm..."

“I don’t know the going rate for Dabo girls.” Kaz shrugged. “I supposed it depends on your employer, and probably how much money you make them.”

Tiki set the mug down on the coffee table and shrugged off the blanket before standing up. "Well, I guess this is where we all put our heads between our legs and kiss our collective asses goodbye," she said with another shrug. "Shame, there are some nice asses on this station too."

“Speak for yourself.” Kaz said with a smug smile and a wink. He took a sip of his coffee, savouring the taste while he thought. “I’ve been thinking about retiring.” He admitted.

"Thinking about retirement or planning how to pass time once they fire your ass?" Tiki shot back.

“If they were going to fire me, they wouldn’t have sent me here.” Etan said, bringing his mug to his lips again. “They want me to learn a lesson, and prove myself. But what the fuck and I supposed to learn here. How to pass time with no resources?” He scoffed and took a long sip from his mug.

Tiki laughed. "There's plenty of resources to help you pass the time, you just don't know how to use them," she winked. "All those trill life times and you still question how to have fun. I don't know about you, but I think I know where day is gonna start. Coffee is good and all, but I'm in the mood for something purple."

“Coming right up.” Kaz said with a slight laugh
